The past two days we have been on a mini-vacation to Iowa. We delivered some furniture to my sister and then we stayed at a hotel with a water park and Kevin's sister met us there for some fun and dinner. Caleb is a little afraid of water. Kevin took him into the water park area and went right up the kids area and down the slide. Caleb probably would have enjoyed the slide, but there is a big bucket that dumps water and it just happened to get them right as they slid down.
So, this is a picture right after that happened.
Then we took the boys into the pools, but they clung to us like they were going to die. So, we got out of the pool and warmed them up. The water was a little cold, especially if you weren't being active. Then Kevin's sister, Joanna and her girls showed up and played with our boys.
Caleb is becoming a sweet kisser! Anytime we say..."give a kiss"...he goes right for ya, it's too cute.
It was chilly and so Aunt Joanna became the "warming" station...
Eventually Caleb warmed up to the water idea, as long as he was in the shallow end. I did take him down the kiddy slide a few times, as long as the big bucket of water didn't dump on us. There would be an alarm that would sound before it would dump and Caleb would get out of the water almost everytime. Sometimes he would do this while it was pouring out...
Having fun...
At one point Caleb fell, he busted his lip a little. But, he really didn't cry and it just made him more adventerous in the water. Can you see the busted lip??!!
We had a great time at the waterpark and with family. The boys had a hard time falling asleep because they were so wound up. The next morning we stayed at the Hotel til checkout and Kevin took Caleb back to the pool, but he wasn't into it that much. So, he took him to a park on the property. I was in the room with JJ the entire time, with him sleeping in my arms
We left the hotel and went to Colleen's for the afternoon. Fun day on the farm.
Our adventerous Hazel...whom Caleb loved to say her name and follow her around.

Running, running, running....

My brother-in-law, Steve turned on this motor and it was really loud and cool...the kids loved to watch it go...
Caleb followed Hazel around almost the entire time.
The two boys born in 2007....Henry is 7 1/2 months older than Caleb
The kiddos...
And a day on the farm wouldn't be complete without sitting on a tractor...
You may notice that Wendell is missing, well...it seems like he was asleep or nursing the entire time we were there. So, Colleen took some pictures of me with him, hopefully she will post them. We had fun couple of days and we were thankful to those that helped make it happen...thanks!
